Trader Joe’s Product Review: Popcorn in a Pickle + Desserts!

Finally, a Trader Joe’s Product Review post on the blog again! I have neglected this series of the blog. It’s been a whirlwind, and I’m still getting on a routine with blogging. I plan to make it a monthly post going forward. Popcorn in a Pickle (vegan) I’ve been curious about these, so I was glad my friend Robin, from Vegan Dollhouse, brought them to our housewarming bbq. These mushroom popcorn kernels are air-popped to a perfect roundness and seasoned with all the great spices that make pickles so yummy – salty, tangy, with a dash of dill! Hope you guys had a wonderful Labor Day weekend filled with some great bbq despite the heat! Today’s even hotter than yesterday, and I hear it’s going to continue to get hot. Even San Francisco is going to be in the 90s, this week! I thought it is a perfect time for me to post my trip to Nourish Cafe the other month with fellow blogger Bianca of The Artist Wanders and my sister. It’s a little place tucked in the Inner Richmond that serves delicious vegan salads, bowls, wraps, sandwhiches, juices, smoothies, toast, and… ACAI BOWLS! I got the Mission Salad – romaine lettuce, red cabbage, yam avocado, black beans, cherry tomatoes, corn, radish, carrots, jalapeño, pumpkin seeds, and cilantro.. Read More

The tomato ketchup flavor pretty much explains itself — tomato tasting.. Read More

Raw Vegan Lasagna

As promised, here’s the breakdown of my raw vegan lasagna – no recipe. I do apologize. I’m not a recipe maker nor do I follow recipes. I’m going to post some links at the end of the post of some recipes that I think are great and close to how I made mine. I just hope this post will inspire you to make it or at least something new and similar with local seasonal produces for the spring/summer. (My farmers market post last week featuring it.) A little backstory how I came about making raw lasagna – not being on a raw or vegan diet. Well, several years ago, my lovely friend Robin of Vegan Dollhouse proposed a group of.. Read More
