Finally, a Trader Joe’s Product Review post on the blog again! I have neglected this series of the blog. It’s been a whirlwind, and I’m still getting on a routine with blogging. I plan to make it a monthly post going forward.
Popcorn in a Pickle (vegan)
I’ve been curious about these, so I was glad my friend Robin, from Vegan Dollhouse, brought them to our housewarming bbq. These mushroom popcorn kernels are air-popped to a perfect roundness and seasoned with all the great spices that make pickles so yummy – salty, tangy, with a dash of dill! Mushroom popcorn kernels are the variety that pops up like a little ball; it’s used to make kettle corn. It’s similar to my previous popcorn review in the June snack review, but they used the traditional popcorn kernels. Verdict: YAY!
Brownie Crisp (vegan and gluten-free)
If you like crispy cookies and brownies, these are for you! I loved that they are vegan and gluten-free, so I feel less bad about eating it all. As much I liked these, I kind of wished there were crispy and chewy brownie treat. Like when the tops of brownies have been over baked on top a little bit, then you bit into it. I hope this exist somewhere out there. Anyway, back to these brownie crisp. I enjoyed them with a scoop of salted caramel ice cream – cold, creamy, salty, sweet, and crunchy combined all together for a perfect flavor and texture explosion in your mouth (Oh, gee. That sounded a bit inappropriate.) Verdict: YAY!
Speculoos Cookie Butter Cheesecake Bites
Last holiday, I saw a bunch of my friends posting about the cookie butter cheesecake on their social media. I never saw them at my TJ’s, probably, because it was a highly coveted item that the store always ran out of it. Then to my delight, I found these cheesecake bites, which worked out perfect for me. I love bite size snacks, and it’s better for portion control. Plus, I don’t think we could eat the whole cheesecake just with the two of us. I love these because they are frozen and taste like cheesecake ice cream pops. I just eat them straight out of the freezer – none of that thawing nonsense. VERDICT: YAY!!!
Pumpkin season is at Trader Joe’s, and they literally have pumpkin everything – even pumpkin dog treats/food. Yes, I kid you not. Anyway, I plan to get a pumpkin product review out to you soon-ish. Fingers crossed. 🙂
